本条目适用的包装导则: P904 ;有限数量 0,例外数量 E0。
P904 本导则适用于UN 3245。 允许使用下列包装: (1) 符合第4.1.1.1、4.1.1.2、4.1.1.4、4.1.1.8条和第4.1.3节的规定且设计符合第6.1.4 节结构要求的包装。须使用由合适材料制成且具有与包装容量和预期用途相关的足够足够强度和设计的外包装。当本包装导则用于组合包装内包装的运输时,包装的设计和结构须防止在正常运输条件下意外排放。 (2) 包装无需符合第6部分的包装试验要求,但须符合以下要求: (a) 内包装包括: (i) 主容器和一个辅助包装, 主容器或辅助包装须防液体泄露或防固体筛漏; (ii) 对于液体,在主容器和辅助包装之间放置吸收材料。吸收材料的数量须足以吸收主容器的全部内装物,以使液体物质的任何泄漏不会损害衬垫材料或外包装的完整性; (iii) 如果将多个易碎主容器放置在一个辅助包装中,则须单独包装或分开,以防彼此之间接触; (b) 外包装须具有足够的强度,以适应其容量、所载物质质量和预期用途,且最小外部尺寸至少为100mm。 运输时,外包装外表面须以对比色为背景,标示下图标记,标记须清晰可见、可辨认。标记须呈45°角的正方形(菱形),每边长度至少为50mm,线条宽度至少为2mm,字母和数字高度至少为6mm。 补充规定: P904 当使用干冰或液氮作为冷却剂时,须适用第5.5.3节的要求。使用时,冰须放置在辅助包装之外,或放在外包装或集合包装内。如果使用冰,外包装或集合包装须防漏。
P904 This instruction applies to UN 3245. The following packagings are authorized: (1) Packagings meeting the provisions of 4.1.1.1, 4.1.1.2, 4.1.1.4, 4.1.1.8 and 4.1.3 and so designed that they meet the construction requirements of 6.1.4. Outer packagings constructed of suitable material, and of adequate strength and design in relation to the packaging capacity and its intended use, shall be used. Where this packing instruction is used for the transport of inner packagings of combination packagings the packaging shall be designed and constructed to prevent inadvertent discharge during normal conditions of transport. (2) Packagings, which need not conform to the packaging test requirements of part 6, but conforming to the following: (a) An inner packaging comprising: (i) primary receptacle(s) and a secondary packaging, the primary receptacle(s) or the secondary packaging shall be leakproof for liquids or siftproof for solids; (ii) for liquids, absorbent material placed between the primary receptacle(s) and the secondary packaging. The absorbent material shall be in a quantity sufficient to absorb the entire contents of the primary receptacle(s) so that any release of the liquid substance will not compromise the integrity of the cushioning material or of the outer packaging; (iii) if multiple fragile primary receptacles are placed in a single secondary packaging they shall be individually wrapped or separated to prevent contact between them; (b) An outer packaging shall be strong enough for its capacity, mass and intended use, and with a smallest external dimension of at least 100 mm. For transport, the mark illustrated below shall be displayed on the external surface of the outer packaging on a background of a contrasting colour and shall be clearly visible and legible. The mark shall be in the form of a square set at an angle of 45 (diamond-shaped) with each side having a length of at least 50 mm; the width of the line shall be ° at least 2 mm and the letters and numbers shall be at least 6 mm high. When used, ice shall be placed outside the secondary packagings or in the outer packaging or an overpack. Interior supports shall be provided to secure the secondary packaging in the original position. If ice is used, the outside packaging or overpack shall be leakproof.

Genetically modified microorganisms (GMMOs) and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) packed and marked in accordance with packing instruction P904 are not subject to any other provisions of this Code. If GMMOs or GMOs meet the definition in chapter 2.6 of a toxic substance or an infectious substance and the criteria for inclusion in class 6.1 or 6.2, the provisions of this Code for transporting toxic substances or infectious substances apply.
